You might probably be asking if there were really gladiators fighting inside the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. I guessed many of you were able to watch the movie entitled "Gladiators". I watched a German TV program this week and they tackled about this movie and the gladiators during those early times. They said that the real gladiators who fought in this Amphitheatre were more barbaric, notorious and brutal compared to the characters who played as gladiators in this movie. I can't imagine that kind of fight if happening today.
We did not really see the real gladiators during our visit in Colosseum in Rome but you can see a lot wearing gladiator-like costumes and you can pose with them. Be sure to give some tips.
The Colosseum, also called as Coliseum was originally called the the Flavian Amphitheatre. It is considered to be one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. I truly agree with that because I cannot imagine how they built it before without having the modern machinery and building equipment like what we have right now. It is truly a wonder of human engineering.
